Gimahi Travel is a locally-owned car rental and transport company based in Lodwar, Turkana County, built to serve the unique demands of Northern Kenya's roads, clients and terrain.
Gimahi Travel was founded to close a gap in Turkana County: dependable, well-maintained vehicles and professional drivers who genuinely understand the region's roads, weather and security conditions. What started as a small fleet has grown into a trusted transport partner for individuals, tourists, government agencies, corporate clients, development partners and humanitarian organizations working across Lodwar and the wider county.
We operate every day of the year, around the clock, because the organizations and travelers we serve don't work on a 9-to-5 schedule. Field teams need vehicles at short notice. Flights land at odd hours. Emergencies don't wait. Gimahi Travel is built to respond.
Every vehicle in our fleet is inspected and maintained to handle both tarmac and the rougher rural routes common across Turkana, and every driver is experienced with local terrain, checkpoints and long-distance field travel.
